Security risks affect Web servers, the local area networks that host Web sites, and even the regular users of Web browsers. Risk is highest with the Webmasters, given their large web servers and complex programs that can contain security holes. The network administrator aims at network security, while the regular users of Web browsers feel that Web surfing is both safe and anonymous, but it’s not. Web browsing introduces viruses or other malicious software into the user’s system. Now, more than ever, both end-users and Web administrators need to worry about the confidentiality of the data transmitted across the Web. Now, web security has become a major issue for all computer users—Webmasters, network administrators, and even the regular users of Web browsers.
