Personal computers, may it be in the office or personal use are occasionally connected to a shared network. This means that anyone can access or view your files unless a password is set. Printers, common files, and disk storage are the usual shared resources in the network especially in the office. And if you have access to the web, shared resources can be retrieved too. Unfortunately, users are unaware of the security disclosure in the network settings. Consequently, it is best to keep passwords or security codes to yourself unless sharing is needed. Also, computers that are not hooked to any system may have a dangerous network settings. Oftentimes network settings can be changed when the internet is installed.
